Hangar One and AMC66 have completed our first Electrical Aircraft Maintenance Course. This training was accepted by the Dutch national CAA as an alternative to an OEM course. On the first days we covered basic knowledge on “Electric Engines” and “Energy Storage Devices”. Finally, we covered the Practical Element on a Pipistrel SW128 (i.a.w. with the Difference Training Syllabus).
Although the Pipistrel Velis Electro is non-complex aircraft, but it’s innovative, simple and “Fun”. New and larger Electrical Aircraft are coming and we (MRO’s and Maintenance Training Organisation) must be ready to support these aircraft (in a safe way!!).
